News Ägypten - Animal welfare issues & the new Neuter&Spay Program since Jan 2019 !!
Here we will report about interesting facts and news from Egyptian animal welfare issues. Unique actions, interesting offers of help and information to clarify the general situation of the dogs in Egypt. As everyone should know by now, castration programs is the most important thing in animal welfare for the regulation of stray dogs and cats. Castrations save a lot of suffering. Castration programs are urgently needed in Egypt. The only right way is the Trap–neuter–return (TNR) program. We will report about our activities on this page. Among other things, we, as a part of a animal welfare Union of three participants ESMA, ISEF and CART, launched a castration project in January 2019 in Sheikh Zayed City, a district of Giza Governorate in Egypt and part of Cairo, in co-operation with the authorities there, which could be an important groundbreaking pioneer work.

For the first time the Trap–neuter–return (TNR) program will be installed in the Shaikh Zayed City of Cairo ! There will be no more killings of strays in Shaikh Zayed City!
For the first time in Egyptes history !!
The city Sheikh Zayed will become the first city of Cairo that implements this science and practical method to deal with the stray problematic. A contract was signed between the Egyptian Union (ESMA, ISEF and CART) And the city of Sheikh Plus. Our union will be responsible for castrating and vaccinating the dogs. This contract is historical and a model that would be desirable everywhere, and we will give our best, because this pioneering project will be a role model for the other cities and provinces of Egypt. Now, all animal rights activists and volunteers have to support us, whether dog catching, castration or vaccination preparation or release. We hope that as many animal friends as possible will support the Union in this project.
